Welcome!

Hello and God bless!  Thank you for taking the time to visit online!  My name is Ingrid LaShawn, and I am a leather crafter and bag maker in Irondale, Alabama. From our home-based workshop, my husband (Kawika) and I craft all of our products from 100% full grain leather hides and Superior bonded thread to ensure top notch quality, durability, and longevity.

Where to Purchase

We sell our products at in-person events such as Farmer's Markets, Craft Shows, and Pop-up Events the Birmingham the surrounding area. Click on the -Event Calendar- tab above to see where we'll be.  Feel free to reach out through the -Contact Us- page if you have any questions.

5:22 & 5:23

The handbag product line number (5:22) and the accessories product line number (5:23) were both inspired by the biblical scriptures Galatians 5:22 & 5:23 ~But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, & self-control; against such things there is no law.~

Handbag Making

This journey began in 2016 after impulsively purchasing a Brother sewing machine while grocery shopping. While making my first few practice stitches, my husband asked me make him a necktie for Father's Day, which was about a month away. Well, it took until the night before to complete it, but was able to wear it to church on Father's Day for everyone to see. As he told nearly everyone there "Hey, check out this tie my wife made for me", the handbag requests began pouring in.

Leather Crafting

After several years of bag making with cotton, vinyl and faux leather, I had the idea to craft exclusively with full grain leather.  So, we decided to purchase an industrial sewing machine and an array of leather craft tools and equipment to begin and that phase of the journey. There's nothing like the smell of brand new, full grain leather!
